Rally at the Alley
Bon Secours SeniorHealth has gotten seniors, families, and friends together for 5 years now to support various projects such as: Care-A-Van (mobile health care), Mermaid Dreams Foundation (fighting cancer), Bon Secours Community Outreach (food pantry, community gardens, future CEO training), and other projects bringing food, home makeovers, and handicap ramps to those in need.
Now, in 2014, the Rally at the Alley event will support the Wounded Warrior Project and their mission: To honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Our service men and women have repeatedly puts their lives on the line for us and our country. Modern medicine has allowed a higher percentage of our wounded warriors to make it home alive — but now they face a tough road of rehabilitation and recovery, along with finding their way back into civilian life.
The Wounded Warrior Project lists these 3 points as the purpose of their mission.
- To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.
- To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
